I had been walking all day with my backpack over my shoulders. Being an hour or two past noon, it's weight was starting to make itself known. Figuring I'd walked about as far as I could go I tried to hitch a ride. After five cars on this deserted highway I figured either no one would pick me up, or I needed to change my game play. So as I hear the next motor coming up, this is what the driver is gonna see.
A fifteen year old boy with dirty blond hair, lightly disheveled (for that added 'help me I'm worn out' affect). Green eyes angled ever so carefully toward the sun, so I could keep them open enough for the sparkle to work its charm. And just in case a little more help was needed, I'd be shirtless showing off my barely visible abs and pecs. It worked!
As the sound of the vehicle got closer, I could see a motorcycle slowing down and pulling over towards me. The driver took his helmet off and any hope I had of keeping control of the situation faded instantly as I looked into his eyes. A long brown ponytail fell down his back and feathery bangs outlined his icy blue eyes. He looked to be about seventeen or eighteen, but his presence just felt so much more mature. I stared intently into his eyes as he spoke to me with the smoothest voice I had ever heard.
"Where ya headin' kiddo?"
"Nowhere special," was all I could manage.
"Hahaha! I think I remember how to get there. Hop on."
The next thing I knew I was wearing his spare helmet, sitting behind him with my arms wrapped tight around his waist thinking 'Wow, this is gonna be a ride to remember.' And with that we rode off into the sunset, neither of us knowing where we'd end up that night.
